Kelly Colleges offer General English Courses from beginner to advanced levels. These courses are ideal for individuals who wish to acquire initial English language skill or build upon existing skills. Each level has specific learning objectives and a range of learning experiences relevant to the individual's needs and capabilities. Through a structured course of study covering grammar, vocabulary building, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, students are provided with a working knowledge of the English language. General English language study focuses on functional learning experiences that enable students to become proficient in everyday use of the English language.

At Kelly Colleges there are always local students enrolled in Diploma courses who want to make friends with international students. Students are given opportunity to practice their skills by frequently interacting with English native speakers. They will also participate in learning activities indicative of Australian and native English speaking cultures.
